  • Jersey City Mornings: 10:00 am, 1st Thursday of each month. Call Lynn (201-795-4765) for location.
  • Jersey City Evenings: 7:00 pm, 3rd Tuesday of each month Call Eileen (201-798-3038) for details. Location: Jersey City Medical Center, meeting room is through the cafeteria. Park on the street or in the lot, get parking voucher validated before meeting at the guards desk. Fruit and water will be provided.
  • Hoboken: 10:00 am, 10:00 am, 2nd Wednesday of each month. Call Alie (201-333-1074) for  details. Location: 333 River Street, 2nd floor meeting room.
  • Toddler/Enrichment Meetings: Contact a leader or Calendar for information.

    Topics include: Advantages of Breastfeeding, What to do When the Baby Comes Home, The Art of Breastfeeding and Avoiding Difficulties, Nutrition and Weaning and Working & Nursing. We also hold toddler and enrichment meetings. Babies and toddlers are welcome at all of our meetings.

Second Annual World Walk for Breastfeeding Event - Breastfeeding Making Families Stronger

was a huge success! Over 500 people came out to celebrate and we raised over $10,500 for more information click here. Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate, and or helped out behind the scenes. This was a community success!

Membership

Mothers are always welcome to attend our meetings whether or not they choose to become members. If you would like to become a member of La Leche League International, please send your tax deductible check for $40, payable to "LLL of Jersey City" to 21 Emory St., Jersey City, NJ 07304.

Benefits of membership include discounted purchases through LLLI as well as at our local meetings, a one year subscription to the LLLI magazine "New Beginnings", and the freedom to check out one book per month from our local LLL library of parenting and breastfeeding books. Some of the membership fee stays in our local group and is put toward outreach efforts and much is sent on to La Leche League International.

None of the membership fee goes toward salaries as we are an organization of volunteers.

La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed. Each of our Groups meets monthly. All breastfeeding mothers and pregnant women interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our free meetings or call our Leaders for breastfeeding help.
